Create a temporary 2D shape of the second curve so you can extrude it with Push/Pull through the first curved surface. Erase the temporary geometry and then use Intersect Faces. What you erase will depend on what you need to keep.
Alternatively you could use the Push Line extension to push the welded curve through the curved surface.
It’s true that my hardware details are very old and out of date. I don’t know where to change them, and despite trying, I’ve given up.
As for the path to the desired result, I think there are other methods using certain extensions. Horizontal projection is probably possible, but I don’t know how to do it.
There is a certain plugin – Align Endpoints along an axis – but it doesn’t seem to meet the requirements for achieving the result.
I’m aware of the recommended solutions, but in my view they’re a roundabout way and somewhat time-consuming.
Thank you for the tips, and perhaps someone reading this post will have other suggestions, for which I’d be grateful.
Click on the G in the green circle at the top right of the forum page. Then the person icon, Preferences>Profile. Correct and update the information and scroll to the bottom of the page to click Save.
I wonder what’s so time consuming about using Push Line.
Rotate the whole model and use Drape from the Sandbox Tools if you want to project onto the curved surface.
No. It will only drape vertically which is why I suggested rotating the geometry. In my example I made a component and rotated a copy of it. Then I could delete it afterI was finished with the copy.
You seem to be resitant to every suggestion made so I’ll give up.
