I am having an issue and want to know if there is a way to turn off the creation of hidden geometry? I am working on a fairly complex model of a tri-level home that I am converting into a quad-level and if I need to make a modification it then generates ‘hidden geometry. So I turn in the hidden geometry and then I have to go in and delete all that was created. If I don’t do that it becomes increasingly difficult to make certain changes. It’s very frustrating and would prefer for it not to even generate it. It makes my modeling time longer and since there are no plug-ins for the iPad there is no easy fix.
Without seeing an example where this happens, I can’t be sure I know what you are talking about. Can you share a model where it happens?
It always happens if you pushpull a curve or circle, so that a smooth surface results. It can also happen if during an edit you create a slightly non-planar face. I’ve seen that happen most often when adding a circle in a face that is actually out of plane, but close enough that SketchUp originally accepted it.
