I find that this contaminated model causes hardware exception which can not be caught when I use API function SUModelCreateFromFileWithStatus to read it. Is it a bug needs to be fixed?

If it causes an uncaught exception, yes it’s a bug.
Please open an issue in the API issue Tracker, attach the test file and indicate the API version and platform.
