Gustav Stickley Bed

This is a model of a bed from about 1900 out of Gustav Stickely’s shop.

A woodworker in the UK expressed interest in building a copy of the bed but he wants to add drawers underneath for bed linens. Instead of making a permanent modification to the bed, I decided to make a drawer case that hangs from the slats so it’s optional and reversible.

I used one of my ink styles for this.


It’s amazing Dave! I like the idea that you didn’t design a permanent modification but an optional one. Also like the cross-hatched shadows! :+1:
