Google Earth Pro Image and Digital Globe Terrain

Is it possible to use the Sandbox Drape to lay a Google Earth Pro image over a Digital Globe terrain?

I’ve been trying with our apartment which sits about 25’ above the lake but haven’t had any success. Here is my practice file Our Place.skp (11.4 MB) .

Any help would be appreciated.

Check Google’s terms of use for Google Maps/Earth. They don’t allow the use of their imagery or terrain data.

What Dave says, about the use of Google images.

For a case where you have the rights to use an aerial image, you could explode the terrain and apply the better texture as Projected, rather than use the drape tool.

Also, there is Nearmap. Here is an example tile from the location you are grabbing, compared to the Google Earth image (GE image is the second one).
