I would like to import a photo into SU, orientating and locating it according to the following geo data:
does anyone have any ruby that can help me do this? Im currently using [Plugin] Coords Text Tag from Datum • sketchUcation • 1, to import latitude longitude coords from a CSV file. I still have to manually set up the “ImgDirection”, enter the values into the spread sheet & import and align the photo accordingly
I once evaluated the possibility of creating a plugin that uses photo metadata to set up photomatch scenes. The problem is that almost all photos miss essential information, namely for PhotoMatch to work, you need not only position coordinates but also a precise and spacial (3D) orientation including tilt. Often even the direction is too unprecise for matching multiple photos from different sides.
