I wanted to share a recent contemporary villa project developed with SketchUp and used as a base for architectural visualization work.
I’m currently refining the architectural details, landscaping and overall realism, so professional feedback is always appreciated.
The post includes both the SketchUp model views and the final rendered result for comparison.
Are you using AI for rendering? This makes me think we, as a profession, need to rename AI used for rendering to something like ‘generated/generating.’ Rendering and prompting for generation are two very different processes - the former requiring specialized tools, knowledge, and experience.
Please correct me if I’m wrong and do share more about your ‘process’ you used to create these images as we all can learn from process..but don’t get very much out of seeing only a ‘finished product’.
Footnote: the AI giveaways are: A. the pool decking changed to show wood surrounding the whole thing which is not in the model and B. the interior of the SU model is not furnished but is in the ‘render’. and C. The water splashes in the pool would be difficult to model and would have to be done most likely in a post-production tool like Photoshop.
