Finding Context Models for City Planning

With Google restricting access to their 3D models for use in Sketchup and other programs, does anyone know of a good alternative for obtaining a large volume of 3D contextual models for several different cities, without resorting to downloading individual (and often inaccurate) models from 3D Warehouse? I have explored Photogrammetry options (which I believe was Google’s data collection method), but I think the technology still needs a bit more work at the low end for individual users, and needs drone use to have any chance of success. Looking for others’ thoughts, especially those in the city and regional planning realm.
