I couldn’t open it either. The way it behaves when compressed makes me think that about half of it is empty, filled with zeroes. I wonder if even @colin can retrieve anything from it.
It is close to half of the file that is missing, I can’t recover anything from it.
See if you have a backup file in the same folder. It would have the same name, but with the extension .skb instead of .skp.
