is there an easy way to make an exploded view in su or is there an extension.

An exploded view of what? There are a couple of plugins that will move objects away from each other but I find they are more trouble than help for creating proper exploded views for furniture and other projects. I find it easiest to make them with the Move tool.
Example:
The lines drawn from the pegs are shown as dashed lines in LayOut.

I also create exploded views by using the Move tool to manually position the piece-parts in the assembly. The arrangement of the parts needs (in my opinion) human judgement, sometimes dependent in the expected view direction.
