Explain UTC in shadow setttings

can someone explain the UTC button in shadow settings?

Universal Time Coordinate or Zulu time is based on London time zone. You can correct for your location, summer and winter time.

Newer more international name for what used to be called Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

Do you know if there a sketchup tutorial on using UTC?

You select the time zone used where your model is located. So, UTC if you are in Britain, Iceland or Portugal, for instance. As seen in the map, time zone is partly astronomy and partly politics.

If you use Add Location to geolocate your model or you manually set the Lat/Long coordinates for your model, the UTC offset will be updated although you may need to make adjustment for DST/Summer time if your model is placed where that is observed.

Thank you so much!
Have a good day.

Thank you for providing a good explanation of UTC
