Error Reading Layout File - Already Try Re Zipping

Hi, can someone help me to fix my layout files, I’m using the Layout 2021 version, I already try to fix, doing the .zip thing, but doesn’t work.

Is it a cracked version?

What do you mean by that exactly?

Where have you been saving the files while working on them?

I get an “Access Denied” message when I try to download your file. You have to make it available if you want us to look at it.

It’s an original version.

I fix the access of the file, try again!

What does that mean?

I’m trying to help you. Please at least answer my questions.

Do you have the backup copy of the LayOut file to share?

Yes, I do, here is the link of the backup.

There is nothing inside the file you shared except a bunch of folders and inside the REF folder, a style file.

The backup file has more stuff in it but you’ve somehow managed to add a folder called C to that, too. This file is also badly corrupted.

I think starting over is your best option at this point.

So, there’s no solution for that situation ?

It doesn’t look good.

So, the only solution is for the designer to redo all the work again, a sad reality, but I thank you very much for all your help.

It is sad but it is the reality.

You ignored my questions before but I’ll ask again, where has the file been saved while it was being worked on?

We use SharePoint to save all files, as we are 7 designers working on projects

If the designers are working on files saved directly to SharePoint they are likely to have corrupted files. Best practice is to download the files to an internal drive on the computer before working on them. Upload them back to SharePoint after saving and closing LayOut or SketchUp. (This applies to both SketchUp and LayOut.)

Great information, and it makes perfect sense, because if there is any fluctuation in the network signal when uploading the file, it could corrupt the file, right?

That is correct. Saving locally and then copying the file to the network location is safer and if there’s any issue with the connection during the save to the network, there should still be a copy on the user’s computer.

Problems being solved quickly, that’s great, thank you very much for all the support, I really appreciate it, have a great day.
