I had not planned on ever having my own 3D printer, but the nice folks where I’ve worked for the past twenty years all chipped in and bought me one as a retirement gift:
After few short test runs (< 10 minutes each), I decided that I was ready for something more adventurous:
Not quite 50mm high with a 1 millimeter thick wall, this vase ended up with a surprisingly smooth finish with about 1-1/2 hours of run-time (0.1mm layers).
After six years of having things printed by an online vendor, this is definitely a new experience
