DP Line Styler on Curves

So last night I began modeling a new sailboat (to me) and when I attempt to dash a line using DP Line Styler something funky is going on:

All the line segments are flat, I’ve even applied Eneroth’s Flatten to Plane extension to make sure.

I like Line Styler, but I use it so infrequently that every time I do use it I need to go back to the documentation. When I couldn’t find anything there, I decided to post here.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried contacting Dave Penney via the Sketchucation Forum?

Are all of the edges in that shape welded?

Is there a reason for not setting a dash style for the tag?
