Hello everyone! Guys, I have a problem, why size indicators are not transferred to TwinMotion 2025.1.1 from sketch up 2024?
What is a size indicator?
using the âsize indicatorâ tool I specify the size of the wall in Sketch Up, for example 3 meters, when opening the file in Twinmotion there is just a wall, this tool is not displayed. I wanted to add a screenshot, but unfortunately new users canât do that
There is no âsize indicatorâ tool that I know ofâŚ
Are you talking about the dimension tool?
or the Scale Tool?
Please correct your forum profile:
There is no classic license for 2022 and above (unless you are using an illegal copy - are you?)
I donât think there is a graphics card called â1660 superâ.
Do you mean dimension lines? Dimensions and other annotations are not things that a rendering application can show. You could export a hidden line image from SketchUp directly to PNG and overlay that with the rendered image in an image editor, LayOut or a page layout application.
yes sir you are right! dimension lines, thanks for the answer!
I corrected the information in the profile (honestly didnât think that anyone would pay attention to it), yes, it was about the dimension tool, and as I understand it, it canât be transferred to the rendering program, sorry if it was a stupid question, I just started learning sketch up
Ok, as far as I know there is no classic license for SketchUp 2024.
Are you using a legally licensed copy, or something downloaded from the web somewhere?
legal copy, version 24.0.484 64 bit, at least thatâs what it says in âabout sketch up appâ
yeah, actual geometry gets transferred to twinmotion, text and dimensions donât.
(I changed the name of the thread)
You can draw dimension lines with faces and 3d text and they will show. You can also use twinmotionâs own dimensioning tools for that.
in sketch up, I use the meter system of units, in twinmotion too, but when importing into twinmotion they are displayed incorrectly, the option with drawn 3D lines remains
I also use metric and twinmotion is matched correctly. I work in meters, not mm nor cm.
