Why do elements do not show distances when we draw a line? The protractor do not show angles in numbers? What is this?

Why a cube do not numbers on the three sides when we push it to size? etc…

I was trying to make a pie chart and it appear impossible to do. etc,

You need to provide more information. Share your SketchUp file with us so we can see what you’ve modeled. Give us some hope of helping you.

Can you see the Dimension Window in the lower right corner of your screen, just below the modelling window?

Can you complete your profile. This may help us in helping you.

SketchUp Version: Can we assume it is 2024?

Operating system: is it 10 or 11 or another?

Graphic card: what is the model number?

OK draw a cube in feet 10,10,30 and then remove material at 45 degrees in the center on the long side so the cube can collapse at 90 degrees.

Why can’t I use a protector to see the angles when I draw the guide lines?

Windows 10
Version 24 uptodate
NVIDIA QUADRO K620

Where do fill this?

The model is not displaying the angels on the right corner

OK never mind. I got it. I had to click twice to see the angle difference. You may delete this except how to update the profile?

When in this forum, click on your Avatar (top right) to bring up a menu.

Click on the bottom most icon to the right (Profile) to bring up another menu.

Then, click on the next to last choice (Preferences).

Then choose the third choice from the left (Profile).

Not sure which avatar you are talking about. The icons above do not even has hover (on mouse over) set up to tell what they are?

a feature to show (editable) each and every vector of an element will be nice. Also we should be able to see distance between two objects (if set up) and be able to edit it. Many 3D software have those features

SketchUp is simple. That’s the reason people love it.

Try FreeCAD. It’s free, it’s cad, it shows numbers and object relations… but it’s not as cool as Sketchup.

Seems to me you are trying to make SketchUp work like other CAD programs.
SketchUp is what it is, SketchUp!
You can accept that, make a feature request or move on…

If you have a Cube and you want to reduce the dimensions by few inches. How many steps does it take?

It can be done in one step in SketchUp.

If you have 4’ cube and you want it to be 2’x3’x2.5’ without using subtraction?

Yes. One step. Use the Scale tool and enter the finished dimensions including the units instead of a scale factor.

ok I will try. Not sure I know how. The scale buttons appear but do not see any other measurements I can enter. Any videos?
Seems like rocket science to use scale for dimension.

Yes, it is.
Scale your cube to arbitrary size.
Immediately (whithout doing anything else) type 2’,3’,2.5’ and hit [Enter]
