I’m an newish user. Just installed SU-pro on a WIN7 system. My default browser is Chrome, but the links from the Instructor panel try to open Internet Explorer–which locks up my system. How can I change the default brower?
The need for IE is hardcoded into all the web-related functions of SketchUp (like the Warehouse links and geolocation) and this cannot be changed. The Mac version uses Safari in the same way. So you should keep IE installed and up to date in your system even if you don’t otherwise use it as your default browser. I too use Chrome but haven’t uninstalled IE. I can afford the hard disk space it takes.
