Curved trim

Hi,

I’m having a problem with my mind here.

Starburst.skp (23.1 KB)
Forum.skp (216.0 KB)

Above are two files:
“forum” is a curved bar that gets a thin piece of aluminum trim cut into a star shape and applied onto the front.
“starburst” is the 2D starburst shape that I cut on the CNC, with a rectangle representing the overall length and width of the actual curved bar that we made in the shop.

When I cut out the starburst shape on a test piece, it didn’t lay over the curve of the bar as expected. It looked like it was cut at the wrong angle.

What am I doing wrong?
