I have been trying to use sketchup 24 to help create an area of real world terrain 25 x 40km for real-time usage. It does however have a height restraint so can only create one area at a time and these are massively over polygonised and create many irregular (unusable) texture patterns. If you click, connect and create other areas the mess just gets bigger.
I have gone back to sketcup 22 (plus oob terrain) which worked before but now, again, there seems to be limits caused by sketchup.
Has anyone used these tools succesfully for this type of purpose lately?
