Hello! I am new to sketchup and am having trouble creating this handrail. Any suggestions are appreciated!
Obviously you’ll need to model the newel-post & cap separately, but the swept oval section rail can be done in one go using Eneroth’s Upright Extruder available at the Extension Warehouse. That extrudes a selected face [oval shape] along a selected curved path [pre-Weld its lines/arcs into one thing] without distortion. The native FollowMe tool can twist the extrusion along complex paths - OK for a circular handrail but anything else will look odd…
