Hi @Norvis, I’ll try to help you. As you’ve noted above, there’s a plugin for making gears that you can download from here:

Once you’ve downloaded it, you will need to install it by clicking on “Window >> Preferences”:
Highlight “Extensions” in the left pane and click on “Install Extension…”. Double-click the downloaded RBZ file:
You will get a warning such as this:
Click “Yes” and you should get a confirmation:
Click “OK” and then scroll down the right pane and confirm that the plugin is installed and checked:
Click “OK” and exit SketchUp. Relaunch SketchUp and you should find the plugin on the “Extensions” menu:
Click on “Rack and Pinion”, change the thickness to .25 and accept the rest of the default parameters:
Click “OK” and you’ve made your first gear:
