Am trying to create a ratchet mechanism, but my attempt results in all sorts of weird geometry that you’ll see in the file. I’m a complete beginner and would really appreciate some pointers, thank you!

Note. I started with a circle set to 50 segments as that was how many teeth you had.
Thank you so much for this! What exactly are you doing at the very end when you duplicate the two segments you created into the full circle?
It’s a radial array, using ctrl and the rotate tool. One of the fundamentals.
