Copy a component from one model into another model

How do I copy a component used in one model into a new model?

Select the component in the first file. Choose Copy from the Edit menu or use the keyboard shortcut. Go to the other file and choose Paste (Edit menu or keyboard shortcut) or Paste in place (Edit menu or set up a keyboard shortcut for it).

Hello,
You can either right click on a component and save it as then drag it / import it in the other model, or you can open another instance of SketchUp, and anything copied inside one instance (through menus or using ctrl+C) can be pasted in the other instance
