Controling the Sky Color in a Thea Render

render

#1

I use Thea to render scenes in SketchUp. I prefer not using the Sun when rendering because the harsh shadows are hard to control. Rendering using just Sky as the light source gives me the look I am after…EXCEPT for on thing. The color of the sky washes over all light materials.

Where can I change the sky color in SketchUp?

In the style editor’s background settings panel.

Ty, that worked…

Note that in the environment tab, select Sun and switch from the SU to Thea sun and click the environment preview to be able to control the sun’s position…additionally the soft shadow multiplier can soften the suns shadows significantly…having said that since this was a 2 year old post you have probably discovered that yourself by now?
