I’ve been trying to design a round case with a bayonet closure for hours. I’m having a really hard time. Is there a solution yet, or can someone explain it to me in detail? Thank you.

I’m new to SketchUp, but I’m very technically minded. I want to make a recess in the lid for the four bolts from the lower part. However, I can’t seem to build a guide into the lid. With a smooth wall, I can easily erase a circular hole. But that doesn’t work with a complex shell. What’s the best way to go about this?
Why are you using SketchUp 2018? Is it a cr acked version?
