Combine current and previous selection / snapping modes to create user options:
Option 1. Current Functionality
Preselect an inferencing handle by which to move / snap an object. Very handy functionality, however, it has added clicks and some struggles when selecting at corners fighting scale handles or when multiple objects intersect at the same point or the object is small in either direction.
Option 2. Previous Functionality
If an object is selected and moved without preselecting an inferencing handle, it snaps by native inferencing as per previous functionality and other page layout tools. Essentially achieving the same as option 1 but reducing the number of clicks required and risks of inaccurate handle selection.
By combining these two functions, we get the best of both and users can adopt either or both and on the fly!
