Colour of the area changes to default when I connect all lines around

Hi there,

I am new to SketchUp and I have a question: when I have an area with one colour and outside that area I draw another, the colour of the inner area chagnes to default (see the video in the link). Why and could this be tuned off?

You can prevent that from happening by creating the inner and outer areas before you add the color to the inner area.
