i usually take a copy of my model and create scenes for the “how-to” portion of the construction documents, and also a copy for sections. for demolition i mask out non-essential parts in LO using translucent layers and then trace or otherwise highlight details on specific demolition or preparation pages. this way the sequencing of the work, and the specific demo or prep bits are explicit. i generally use line weight, color, and fill in LO as i find it’s cleaner in the final docs.
sometimes i create models which provide detailed prep bits (like foundation cuts & fills, or re-structure work). this way everything else is “you’re building this” and the sequence and graphics flow from there.
