Change the color of the section plane in a style

Is there any way to change the background color of a section plane in a scene? I want to make shop drawings from my scenes in layout, but I don’t want to have to print the grey of the section plane. In the photo, I love the labeling of the section planes, but I don’t want the grey part of the active section cut.

Thanks! Dan

No. There’s no option for editing the section plane color.

It is fairly simple to indicate section planes in LayOut using symbols from the scrapbooks.

Simple example in SU:

And in LO:

+1 to @DaveR’s suggestion. To add onto his answer…keep in mind that Section Planes aren’t real geometry in SketchUp - therefore you can’t modify them. Also note, if you were to switch to Vector viewport rendering in LO, you’d lose them completely.

I’d recommend creating an additional Style with the Section Planes showing - then in LayOut, you can switch between your default and section plane styles so you know exactly where to place your cut lines on top of your viewport.
