Can't export sketchup file to GLB format

I need to save files in both Sketchup and GLB formats but when I try to export to GLB it takes forever and then does not appear to have saved anywhere. I was able to save smaller files but anything over 1,000KB does not want to save. Is there a way to fix this? Or is it just simply unable to save because the file is too big?

I exported a 3.2 MB file from SketchUp 2022 and it created a 17.8 MB .GLB file that I then imported into Blender
