Can't change font for 3D Text?

Hi Folks,
I’m trying to add some 3D text to a model, but the controls for font and style aren’t available on the dialog - ie. they’re greyed-out and don’t respond. What do I have to do to change the font?

I’ve done this sort of operation many times with sketchup, though not recently and not with the web version. Sorry if it’s a dumb question.

Did you click on the name of the font?

Click on Open Sans and choose another option.

Right, that’s what I expected. But those controls are “greyed-out” and don’t respond when I click them.
Running this on FireFox if that matters.
Thanks

Try in Chrome and see if it works.

Tried restarting the browser and now those controls sort of work - but I can only see 5 fonts, can’t scroll to anything else.

I really don’t want to install Chrome. Gonna go try some other tools - may come back and try Chrome if I have to. I’m not very impressed with this web based version of Sketchup.

The web version is limited to only a few fonts.

For a free application you can use on even a cheap Chromebook anywhere you can get access to the internet, SketchUp Free is pretty good and should serve most hobbyists well. If you need more capability, you can still use SketchUp 2017 Make. And the 3D Text tool in SU 2017 will work with almost any font you have installed on your computer.
