Can we use follow me tool on ellipse?

Hello everyone,

Since i’am just a beginner with sketchup, pls dont yell at me

here’s the question;

i want to use follow me tool on the ellipse with the selected face on the jpeg. but obviously i cant. i try to make a skylght so i also needed windows on the ellipse surface but still its the second part. need to raise this ellipse first.

can you pls guys guide me?

select your elipse edges only, pick the follow me tool and then select your profile face.

You can delete your ellipse face and lines dividing it as you won’t need them

It’s often easier to create the ellipse after the follow me.
