Back face? Front face? How do you tell?

If my colleague imported my .skp file they would see their own default face style when opening my/our model.

Tell me something. What color is the back face in this model?

It does for me, and that is not my default backface color. I think the backface color is in the style that is saved with the model and takes control when you load the model.

Yes. That’s the case. The back face color is determined by the style the user sets. The same style will be seen if another user opens the file.

But it would be nice to have a “native” option just for my own system.

So there’s already a “native” option for setting the back face color to the user’s preference. The best option is to adjust the style for the template so you get the same back face color every time.

File >> Import always uses the endemic Style of the current Template…

File >> Open will use the originators Template…
