I’m only importing a 2D DXF and other 2D items into SketchUp. I rarely draw anything in 3D or download from the 3D Warehouse.
In LayOut, I have a cover page, site plan, line diagram, and spec sheet pages. All plan set pages, except for the line diagram, use a viewport with a corresponding scene in SketchUp.
The cover page and site plan utilize the DXF. To clarify, the imported DXF is only viewable in those scenes. (Also in the Model scene, but that scene isn’t being used in LayOut.)
Does anybody offer consulting services that can help me optimize and scale my process, especially as the need arises? If/when I need to delegate portions of this process to a coworker because other responsibilities are getting in the way of completing plan sets and/or another CADD Tech gets hired because of the number of projects come in.
