Architectural Imperial Dimensions

Re: A small nuance improvement for architectural imperial dimensions

When using the dimension tool or tape measure tool to measure dimensions between 12 and 13 inches the call-out/read-out is (for an example of 12 3/4") 1’ 3/4", which, I believe could be improved with the addition of ‘0’ full inches.

For dimensions greater than 13 inches the call out/read-out is (for example 13 3/4") 1’ 1 3/4", which is perfect.

Conforming to the call out/read-out for 13 3/4" as 1’ 1 3/4" for 12 3/4", I suggest the read-out be: 1’ 0 3/4"

Additionally, in my practice our standard is (for 12-3/4") 1’ - 0 3/4", the hyphen being previously requested.

Thanks and Best.

Lindsey, do you know if there’s a way for dimensions to display this way? To my mind, this is an important issue. A dimension should read 1’-0 3/4", not 1’ 3/4"!

Hi Andy,
I agree.
Not as of yet (v2021.1), is there a setting (or correction) for this specific architectural (1’-0 3/4") format.
The “option” I use is to manually “overtype” the automatic dimension with my desired format.
