Any good 3D warehouse profile recommendations for decorations and models

Hi there, for our company I work with Sketchup to draw our clients bathrooms in 3D. To ensure the realistic renders are a bit ‘‘lively’’ I use decorations, like towels, plants etc.

However, I have been using the same decorations for a long time and I have been using a lot of terms to search in the 3D-warehouse. but I always see the same decorations popping up that I already use. I was wondering if any of you have any good recommendations for decorations? Like someone with collections, or a website where you can download them? Everything is more than welcome!

Only request is that the decorations aren’t too heavy files. + Oh and not a paywall or subscription behind it, just easy accessible.

I don’t have a suggestion for other sources but you might consider building your own collection from scratch. Towels should be pretty straightforward would bottles and other products with colorful but simple labels (no hi res images for shampoo bottles unless you’re selling the shampoo).

Modeling them yourself gives you the opportunity to make them clean and lightweight from the beginning and you can set the components up so they are quick and easy to insert into your project models.

Thanks for the tip! I do have my own collection, well not my own models, but a collection with quite a few models from others I use very often in Sketchup. I will look into modelling decor myself.

I don’t tend to model decor but I use a lot of hardware for furniture projects and prefer to model my own. If I need a specific drawer pull, for example, I’ll go to the manufacturer’s site to get dimensions and images from which I can make a usable but lightweight component. After it’s completed I add it to my Knobs and Pulls component collection in case I need it again in the future. Over time my hardware collections have grown substantially.

Remember that you’re selling bathrooms and not towels or plants or toothpaste so when it comes to those items, less is probably more.

Yes of course hahah, but from our clients we have had alot of feedback how much they liked the decor that it adds a bit more of realism and its more personal, than just a plain drawing. The renders are not really filled with decor, its more a bit here and there. It focusses more on the wallpaneling and furniture etc.

Have you tapped fully into Cosmos? If you’re using V-Ray that is.
