Can you point me to instruction on how to show a model being assembled where the parts fly into place? I’ve seen this done, but don’t know how. I understand basic animation, but that doesn’t have a part ‘moving through the air’ into place, unless you had ~15 scenes for each part successively moving…that would take a long time even with a simple model. Thanks!
this is for an animated instruction video on how to assemble a item with 14 pieces.
You could do this using the Fredo6 Animator Plugin which is available on the SketchUcation site:
Make sure you have the current version of the Sketchucation ExtensionStore installed. Use it to install Animator and the latest version of LibFredo6. You’ll have to have the SketchucationExtensionStore to manage licenses for Fredo6’s extensions.
You could also try, Keyframe Animation, it has less tools than fredo animator but it’s more intuitive and better for simple animations.
I have created a number of assembly and disassembly video segments using Animator by @Fredo6. Here is 30-second example assembly sequence video on YouTube. I actually designed the animation starting with the fully-assembled model and then progressively disassembled it. The resulting video was reversed in a video editing program (iMovie) to give the appearance of assembly.

really beautiful work! thank you for sharing. that is exactly what i want to do.
this looks good too! This seems like a solution, but oddly, I am not allowed to have more than one solution…strange when there are generally so many different ways to approach and solve a problem!
Turns out this version isn’t compatible with current SU.
