An extension to remove background

I wonder if there is an extension to remove the area around the image of a person. The idea is to make the creation of people face me cutouts easier.

I know there is the recently released Pic2Shape by Fredo6 but so far I have not been able to make it work well on mac.

Any ideas?

TIG’s Image Trimmer which is part of his SKM Tools can do that if you start by importing a .png image in which the background is transparent.

Thanks, Dave. I will try it. As soon as I posted this I went back to Pic2Shape and is working fine now. It creates face me cutouts from images very easily.

I tested on my Mac and I had no problems. Maybe you should upload the image here

As I mentioned in the reply above, Pic2Shape is working for me now. I was certainly doing something wrong before. Thanks.
