Hi folks-
I’m engaged in simple energy modeling for envelope optimization. I have some confusion on what to label adiabatic geometry - in my case walls of an addition that are shared with an existing structure. I’m primarily interested in energy modeling the addition properly and accurately, not the existing structure.
Is there a simple way to accomplish this with materials labeling?

If your SketchUp model has building structure where some parts (e.g. additions) are in the project scope and others are not, than what you need to do is tag “Ignore” all SketchUp entities that are not in the scope.
