How you guys creating something like this?
You can apply this type of technique in SketchUp, using QuadFace Tools, Vertex Tools and SUbD extensions.
Or if you don’t need that much detail, just use a seamless texture.
You can model it, which I think is what @mihai.s is suggesting.
Or you can simply add this detail with a well placed texture. Not sure what your application is but modelling will create more geometry in your model for a detail that is not necessarily a main priority. Whereas if the seam is a lower priority within a scene, using a texture will keep your poly count down and still achieve a decent result.
