The staircase is one of the most time-consuming parts of preparing construction drawings and 3D modeling, especially when preparing for plans/sections. What’s worse, changes always appear, and my method is not quite competitive with other architectural 3d modeling software.
My method:
- As a first step, I use the su4u Stair extension, and to modify it, I start making changes manually.
- The second step is to make the staircase more detailed:
- I make the 2D plan on a dashed edge tag.
- The 3D plan has a perpendicular section, which I manipulate in the plan/sections.
- The direction arrow is a dynamic component, and I drag it using PB4.
- For hatches, I use the Curic Section
- For labels, I use the 5D extension.
I got this method from the VBO FB Forum.
I was inspired to write this topic after watching an Allplan tutorial.
What method do you use and what smarter method could be implemented in SU+LO?
