3D text quality is very bad when it zooming out and the size gets small

I am using the online free web version of Sketchup. There is an issue with the quality of “3D Text” objects when they are printed to PDF or downloaded to PNG. The 3D text gets distorted when the project is zoomed out to a certain point as the 3D image becomes smaller. There is a point during the zoom out process when I see the text go from a nice clean view to a distorted view. If I print the project at this point the text is distorted on screen and the PDF printout is distorted, however if I print the page prior to the distortion the PDF looks fine.

I went back to a project that I printed fine in April 2026 and reprinted it, and the “3D Text” is now distorted, so I know the issue started sometime since April 2026. I also know that in April I was seeing a solid black rectangle on the very bottom, center, of all my projects and now it shows the word “Sketchup” there. I believe there was a graphics problem then that did not display the word properly.

For reference the 3D text object I am creating has a Height of 4 feet, and a Text Extrusion of 0 inches. The computer is new and is running Windows 11 with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1200.

Can you attach your .skp file here by downloading it to your computer and uploading it into a response. Can you also outline a bit more what you are “printing”. Are you using SketchUp as a 2D image program?

Is this just a new version of this thread or is there something different?

The new post is the same as this one only I have included more detail about what I am seeing.

And so you should have included that information in the other post rather than creating confusion.

Schooner Days 2026 - Preliminary (1).skp (9.2 MB)

This has 3D objects, although the text is supposed to be flat and I print the “Scene All”. I did have a response last week from “DaveR” who ended up printing my project, probably with the Application, not the web, and it printed fine. DaveR was super helpful. I generated this topic today in the area for reporting “Technical Problems” thinking that this is the way to report bugs to Sketchup and that what I did previously was just a question and answer in the forum. I really appreciate the help and responses I have had.

Thank you.
