My friend has Sketch up pro but i am using sketch up free
Can he put a model on 3 D warehouse for me to look at from Sketch up free and if so how do I get to it

Yes. He can. He just has to provide you with some words to search with when you go to the 3D Warehouse.
or he could just email it to you and you open it from your desktop…

Actually, Insert it from the desktop, the Open option won’t go to your desktop I believe.
