[2017] Is WebDialog.set_html broke?

I wanted to try out Sam’s Sheet Metal Bender extension but the WebDialog does not open the temp file. Instead i get these dialogs. It works in 2016. Any ideas?

try deleting #{176.chr} from the html…

That worked, thanks John. That sequence must trigger IE to think the file is binary, or something.

Edit - Oh that is supposed to be a ° symbol. That is not how you encode it in html anyway. It’s just °

on my mac it just stops any of the html loading as it’s an unrecognised char…

just using the degree symbol directly works Alpha°: here …

if it works in v16 than it’s a Ruby 2.2 encoding issue…
