1001 bit pro not load sketchup 2023.1

1001 bit pro not load sketchup 2023.1

Hopefully the rb files will be modified so it will work properly

Thank you in advance

Did you get the latest version of them from the source?

https://www.1001bit.com/pro/index.html

You should contact them about this.

Your profile says you are using SketchUp 2018. Please update that information.

Unfortunately, since 2014 no updates have been made

Then it isn’t surrprising that it doesn’t work. The Ruby code has been updated at least once, maybe more since then. You would need to contact the author of the extension to request an update.

Is there a tutorial link to learn the differences?

I don’t know of a “tutorial” but you could research Ruby and it’s changes through the various versions.

I Found this

I hope anything information language ruby can be edit file

$GH1001pro_path=“/Library/Application Support/Google Sketchup 6/SketchUp/plugins/1001bit_pro”

require ‘sketchup.rb’

t = Sketchup.load $GH1001pro_path + “/1001promenu”
puts “loading 1001bit pro menu >> #{t}”

require ‘sketchup.rb’

t = Sketchup.load $GH1001pro_path + “/1001promenu”
puts “loading 1001bit pro menu >> #{t}”

FYI: SketchUp 2023.1 still uses Ruby 2.7.7

1001 bit tools hasn’t been updated in a looooong time, it’s not worth it getting the pro version knowing that there’s no support. I’ve tried to contact the developer but I haven’t received an answer. It’s a shame, because that extension was very useful.

It is a shame that GoH seems to have abandoned 1001bit dev’ ! His suite of tools is a life saver.
I also tried contacting him on an old email that I had from way back when, but to no avail… If anyone has news, please send him best wishes.
Just a thing though, 1001bit Pro still luckily loads in 2023.1 for me & I’ve done nothing in particular as I’m no programmer.
