My concern is whether I can run Sketchup Make successfully with the Lenovo ThinkPad e570 laptop computer that I am about to order. It comes with an Intel HD 530 integrated graphics card. I won’t be doing a lot of heavy duty work with SketchUp make 2016. I will be making drawings of furniture to build for potential clients. I wont be drawing anything with a million parts. I can get the Nvidia dedicated graphics card for an upcharge when I make my initial laptop purchase, but my local tech person tells me that card will generate too much heat and shorten the life of the laptop. Lenovo tells me that the integrated card, which comes with the laptop regardless, will be used for everything i do except when i use Sketchup, and then that as long as i use the program for no more than 4 hours at a time, i will be fine. Do sketchup folks think this is true? If so, does it mean i will have to enable and disable graphics cards for this scenario? Thanks for any help.
