AutoCad has the Quick Select command or selection filters in the right-click menu that can help selecting by colour.
Itās hundred of colors after exporting. You canāt quick select one by one, so we need a lisp.
Youāre right, but what if you donāt have real AutoCAD. Can autolisp work?
And do you provide the Autolisp routine, along with the plugin?
The extension is looking great.
If these are exported as 3D DWG, then all layers are exported.
Also, improving PDF export from Sketchup, could allow us to generate 2D drawings from Sketchup and avoid Layout altogether, or even send these simpler drawings to Layout and document them there. In the past I noticed that 2D Sketchup Drawings are very fast to work with in Layout.
This is a great alternative.
Do you have a Trial version?
It would be great to test run for a while. If it works Iād buy the 3 seats. If it still doesnāt fit exactly right in my workflow, maybe Iād stick with 1 seat. Itās great that you have permanent licenses! Thanks for that!
Yes, it have a free 30 days trial when you subcribe (just 5usd/month). You can unsubcribe before being charge.
The lisp is not mine, but itās a free lisp from community and I can share the link to download.
The feature related to 2d drawings or export Dwg you saw in video have not been released yet.
Totally agreed. The 2d drawings feature is an alternate options for user to work with LayOut, more faster.
I have to give my credit card number to access the trial. Iām not really comfortable with that. Itās nothing personal. Itās just overall policy.
So, itās the only way that the system (Lemon Squeezy) allows me to do for trial.
Alright. Iāll either try it or buy it anyway.
How does this integrate with your Autotag plugin? I actually didnāt understand if Autotag also is able to automatically create IFC Classification or if IFC classification is done independently with this plugin?
This plugin will auto classify objects to IFC classes by tags. Currently only support VBO tags, but could be allow userās customize in later update versions.
Anyway, hereās the video about alternate present with 2D Drawings inside SketchUp.
How do you manage open door symbols? Do you have a tag that is only visible in plan view? Do you hide door model via another tag in plan view? Does the plugin manage that sort of stuff if we tell it which layers to search for? Do you have to do that manually?
I have a Doors and Windows DC collection created my own.
Please watch this video. The manual user (in English) download link, all in videoās description.
Amazing work!
Very complete. I used to use dynamic doors and windows too, but always endup designing them per project as we donāt use a lot of standard doors.
However, your collection is really cool. Iāll download it. Iāll also get the plugin as I see your work is very well thought.
I hope you do alright with it.
Thanks!
EDIT: The link you used to have in 3D warehouse is gone.
It only misses a pocket sliding door/window. There are some cool ones out there ![]()

Yeah, you may use Single Sliding door version with small customize.
Anyway, today a friend sends me his project to test with 5D+ Auto VBO, and here the result after few minutes.
Now, the extension can export to 2D (dxf format) with layers from the model.
This feature will be added into extension on February 10, 2024
This feature works with every files and layers.
Let send me your file, I will try to export and send back to you to check the final result after export.
I donāt need to send it. I see itās great! Does it use the origin of the model as origin of coordinates for the DXF file? Or does it use the centre of the screen?
The export is looking great. It can export any scene, or just the scenes VBO Creates?
Any scenes or even without scene. It will export what is display on the screen.
