I was trying to replicate daves workflow where in the two halves were formed. I am trying it with circles now.
I didn’t say I did it in two halves.
What did you flip? From your description that would be tedious indeed. I didn’t keep the one I drew before so I just drew a new one.
I started with a centerline for the tube. a profile for the bell, and a circle for a Follow Me path for the bell. I also added a couple of circles for the opposite end of the tube.
Follow Me for the bell.
Then I copied the bottom of the bell, made it a component and hid the bell. Then I pasted the copied geometry in place so I’d have the curves for the bottom end of the tube.
Select the inner circles and the path for the tube.
Activate Curviloft’s Loft Along Path.
Correct face orientation as needed. Then select the outer circles and the path.
Run Loft Along Path again. Correct face orientation as needed, explode the two groups created by Curviloft and hide the edges at the bottom end of the tube. Make the tube a component to keep it separate from the bell.
Unhide the bell, hide the bottom edges of it so the seam between components doesn’t show. Fini.
I left the path in this example but I’d delete when I finished.
sorry I misinterpreted your workflow because I thought you did the tube in two halves as you showed it in the image like a section cut.
I did use a section cut to show the inside of the tube.
I did it the hard way. It’s all good. Thanks
