Topo is NOT a Manifold solid object

Hello everyone!
I’m new to SketchUp and could really use some help. I created a topo from a DWG file using the TopoShaper plugin. Now I need to make a section cut, so the topo has to be a solid object.

However, SketchUp keeps telling me that it’s not a manifold solid. I tried using the Solid Inspector plugin, and it reports issues with surface borders, as well as nested instances.

Does anyone know how I can fix these problems and turn the topo into a proper solid?

You’re over-zealous with the grouping.

Exploded the two inner groups so you have all of the geometry in a single group. Then run Solid Inspector 2.

Click on Fix and Presto!

BTW, do your modeling with the Camera set to Perspective, not Parallel Projection. Delete the guidepoint positioned out away from the model.

FWIW, in order to be considered a solid, ever edge must be shared by exactly two faces. No fewer and no more.

The surface borders message indicates you have holes so there are edges that only have a single face associated with the, Internal faces would indicate more than two faces sharing an edge or edges.

Nested instances indicates you have more than one object (group or component) which your model has because of the nesting you created. Solid Inspector only works on a single group or component at a time.
