Tip and tutorial Sketchup for digital artist

I just started learning sketchup solely for the purpose of making digital art,I never learn anything about 3D before,so i need a few recommendation. Are there any(paid or free) tutorial/online course/book on sketchup that you would recommend, especially if its teaching you about skecthup geared towards making digital art.I don’t really mind spend my money on tutorial but it needs to be worth it,so if you have any recommendation,it would be helpful.

Also any extension or plug-in that is a must have(paid or free),if its going to help me with digital art ,the better.

The basics are the same independent of the later usage, so this would be a good starting point.

my first tip would be to select a ‘good’ template for your output…

maybe…

"Construction Documentation - Meters",

"This template is for design detailing and construction. Also use this template for training exercises that begin in plan view."

after opening with that template go to the menu and select ‘Window’ >> ‘Model Info’ >> ‘Units’ and turn ‘Display Units’ to ‘OFF’…

then ‘Camera’ >> ‘Standard Views’ >> ‘Iso’…

then from ‘File’ >> ‘Save as Template’ name it something memorable…

when using the template just think in units, i.e. if something is 10 units wide and you need the next half as big, make it 5…
